Just ahead of the Friday ship date for Apple’s Series 3 smartwatch that now boasts LTE service, the tech giant admitted there are cellular connectivity issues.

In an emailed statement to The Verge, an Apple spokesperson said: “We have discovered that when Apple Watch Series 3 joins unauthenticated WiFi networks without connectivity, it may at times prevent the watch from using cellular. We are investigating a fix for a future software release.”

The issue may come as a hit, as built-in cellular capabilities were the biggest new feature for the Series 3 Watch.

Apple acknowledged the flaw after product reviews from publications like The Verge and The Wall Street Journal reported notable connectivity issues, where the Apple Watch attempted to connect to unknown WiFi networks instead of utilizing LTE.

There is no word on when the software release will come out, or what error it will fix to ensure cellular connectivity when users are on the go.
