Cricket Wireless has joined the current wireless bounty bonanza by offering a $100 bill credit to customers who switch over from T-Mobile or MetroPCS.

From August 24 to October 19, customers who switch will get the credit. The promotion is only available for customers coming over from T-Mobile or MetroPCS but there’s no limit on the amount of lines a single customer can switch over and get the credit.

The credit is only available to customers choosing either the Basic, Smart or Pro plans, not the $25 talk and text plan.

Cricket’s move to sway T-Mobile and MetroPCS prepaid customers away from their carriers is the latest in the current trend toward offering incentives for switching customers.

T-Mobile announced earlier this year that it would begin paying the Early Termination Fees (ETF) for customers switching over from AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. Sprint, U.S. Cellular, C Spire and others followed suit.

T-Mobile this week announced it would give a year of unlimited data to customers and a subscriber from another carrier they convinced to switch over to T-Mobile.

AT&T acquired Cricket when it bought Leap Wireless. The carrier then transitioned its existing prepaid brand, Aio Wireless, over to the Cricket brand.
