With many operators already committed to LTE and the number of users now exceeding 3 million, the charge to evolve is on. As subscribers become more demanding of their mobile devices, including internet access and real-time multi-media communications, the need for wireless network operators to add capacity and multimedia-friendly features becomes obvious.

The opening presentation by Berge Ayvazian of Heavy Reading will provide the industry view of US LTE Market offering regional wireless providers an overview of status of various LTE ecosystem components, the compelling reasons and considerations they must face in their eventual migration to LTE. Steve Kemp of Alcatel-Lucent will discuss the challenge and opportunities for rural LTE operators, market drivers, key components of an LTE network and options for reducing up-front investment.

Steve will then join a panel of Regional Operators moderated by Berge Ayvazian that will address:

• What are the wireless market drivers for broadband data in rural areas?
• What are larger providers experiencing in terms of broadband data usage and what is the industry consensus on growth.
• What capabilities separate LTE from 3G, today and tomorrow?
• What options exist for network scaling and how can rural operators scale cost-effectively?
• What spectrum bands will be used for rural LTE in the US market?
• When will a variety of devices exist and how is the ecosystem shaping up?
• Do operators have access to rural broadband funds to use for rural LTE broadband deployments?
• How can hosting the EPC save money for rural operators?
• How soon should rural operators start planning LTE network build-outs?

  • Internet telephony is the fastest growing communication technology which is not only popular but also a cost effective solution. The idea of internet telephony (generally known as VoIP or Voice over Internet Protocol) is that, you use your internet connection to make a call just like the regular telephonic vocal conversation. The fundamental advantage of VoIP is that, it reduces your communication cost, while delivering the same voice quality.
