Wal-Mart to Launch Smartphone Trade-In Program

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is launching a smartphone trade-in program later this month that will help consumers trade up to the newest phones available. The world's biggest retailer said Tuesday that consumers will receive a credit from $50 to $300 when they trade in their working, undamaged phone.

Qualcomm announced its Toq smartwatch and said the device will see a U.S. release in the fourth quarter. The Toq features an always-on color screen and stereo Bluetooth headset featuring directional microphones for phone calls. Google and Nestlé have announced a cross-marketing deal that will see Google's next iteration of Android branded KitKat, after Nestle's popular chocolate bar. Names for interations of Google's Android mobile operating system began with 'Cupcake' and have evolved alphabetically.
