China Mobile, NSN Complete Live VoLTE Test on TD-LTE

Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) announced the completion of a VoLTE test on China Mobile’s TD-LTE network. NSN performed a live VoLTE call and ran through multiple test cases on a pre-commercial network in Fuzhou. NSN deployed its enhanced Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (eSRVCC) solution during the testing process.

Nokia Buys Network Operations From Siemens

HELSINKI (AP) — Nokia said Monday that it will buy Siemens' half of their joint network operations in a 1.7 billion euro ($2.22 billion) deal, sending its shares surging more than 7 percent. The transaction, to be completed during the third quarter this year, will mean that the joint venture between Nokia Corp. and Germany's Siemens AG will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Finland-based company.
