Apple Hopes to Impress with WWDC Keynote

Monday's keynote is expected to focus on the software that runs Apple's mobile devices and Mac computers. Apple typically rolls out its latest gadgets at separate gatherings timed to the holiday shopping season. The developers conference is where the Cupertino, California, company provides the first glimpse of software updates coming to those gadgets.

The Wall Street Journal spoke with people familiar with Samsung’s device plans, who said the device will actually place and receive phone calls without needing to be tethered to a smartphone. The report outfits the device with a camera, GPS, Bluetooth, a heart-rate monitor and email functionality.

Amazon Service Allows Consumers to Order Products Via Twitter

Samsung Launching First Tizen Smartphone in 2Q

A Samsung executive told Reuters that the company will release a high-end smartphone running the Tizen operating system near the end of the second quarter. Shortly after Samsung will launch a second mid-range Tizen device to drive volume, Yoon Han-kil, senior vice president of Samsung's product strategy team, told Reuters.
