Starting today in company-owned retail stores, AT&T is offering a new promotion  for iPhone 5s and 5c buyers who choose AT&T Next to get $200 off a new iPad purchased on a 2-year wireless agreement. The customer must sign a two-year wireless agreement for the iPad and use AT&T Next to purchase the iPhone.

Microsoft has joined the AllSeen Alliance, a Qualcomm-backed Internet of Things consortium. The software giant’s membership makes it a total of 51 companies in the group, including big names in electronics like LG, Sharp and Panasonic. AllSeen are working on a universal IoT standard based on Qualcomm’s AllJoyn open source code.

We were lucky enough to get our hands on an LG G3 well before it’s even been announced for U.S. release. The unit LG sent over for review is a Korean version, so there’s no cellular connection and that makes it tough to write a full review. But then quality isn’t what we want to talk about anyway: the main attraction of the G3 is the quad HD display.

LG said it has a new version of its WebOS software that it plans to bake in to all its smart TVs starting next year, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Korean company’s talk of smart TV software comes just as Google finished showing off its new Android TV platform. Google announced its big-screen version of Android will be on Sony and Sharp smart TVs by 2015.

AT&T Among First U.S. Carriers to Offer LG G Watch

AT&T announced it will be “among the first U.S. carriers” to offer the LG G Watch. The carrier did not mention pricing and said it would be available in the coming weeks. The G Watch showed up during Google’s Android Wear demo at Wednesday’s developer conference. The smartwatch—priced at $230 and shipping July 3—is now available for pre-order in the Google Play store.

LG Electronics USA and Verizon Wireless today announced that the LG G Pad 8.3 LTE tablet will be starting March 6 online and in stores. To kick off the launch, the tablet will be available for $99.99 with a new, two-year activation from March 6 until March 10.
