Survey: Just 9% of Lawmakers Use Android Phones

Of the 102 lawmakers’ offices that responded, just nine percent said they use Android phones. That compares with 71 percent using iPhones and 28 percent who choose BlackBerry. Many of the respondents said they use multiple phones and in several cases indicated they have a flip phone in addition to their smartphone.

A second wave of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launches is coming Sept. 26 to rural and Tier 2 carriers along with MVNOs. NTelos announced it will begin selling Apple’s two new phones Friday and will start pricing out at $150 for the 16GB iPhone 6 and $250 for the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus, $50 less than where most major carriers start their on-contract pricing for the devices.
