Wireless Facilities Inc. (WFI) has landed a $4 million network deployment contract from an unnamed regional wireless carrier.
The multi-site agreement covers site acquisition, project management, installation and commissioning, microwave installation and network optimization services, according to WFI.
The company says the contract represents an extension of its relationship with this regional carrier.
WFI has sealed a steady stream of contracts this year. In May, the company's logistics and RFID sector of its government division was awarded blanket purchase agreements to provide radio frequency identification (RFID) readers to enable and accelerate implementation of passive RFID technology in support to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
In April, the company announced a $6 million contract win with a "major national wireless carrier." At the time of the announcement, the company said the agreement covered site identification, acquisition and deployment services for multiple sites in the western United States.
In February, WFI signed on as a worldwide systems integrator of Tropos Networks' metro-scale Wi-Fi mesh network products and services. The deal called for WFI to provide network systems integration for Tropos MetroMesh products and services to municipalities, government and public safety agencies and service providers worldwide.
