AT&T plans to roll out LTE in at least 50 additional markets by the end of this year. AT&T LTE currently covers more than 225 million people and 370 markets, and by the end of 2013, coverage is expected to expand to nearly 270 million people and more than 400 markets.
ZTE Corporation, a publicly listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, forecast the company will post net profit of between RMB 500 million and RMB 750 million in the first nine months of 2013, rebounding from a loss in the same period a year earlier.
Compass Intelligence, a market research firm specializing in mobile and wireless, today announced it has acquired the assets of MobileTrax LLC and appointed its founder and principal analyst, Dr. J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D., as its new Chief Mobility Strategist.
