Report: Dish Bids $2 Billion for LightSquared Spectrum

Bloomberg reported that LightSquared could use the proceeds from the sale to pay off secured debt. Last year, LightSquared filed for bankruptcy after failing to obtain FCC approval to deploy a satellite/LTE network on its spectrum.

Sprint Raises Clearwire Offer

Sprint’s boosted bid to acquire the nearly 50 percent of Clearwire it doesn’t already own comes just hours before Clearwire shareholders are scheduled to vote on the transaction.
