IBM today announced that PLM, a Latin American health sciences publisher, launched a library of mobile apps to deliver medical information on conditions such as cancer and heart disease. PLM used the IBM MobileFirst application development portfolio to help convert its medical reference guides into 35 mobile apps.

Voxox, a cloud-based rich communication service for consumers and businesses, announced the latest release of the company’s virtual PBX service, Cloud Phone. Cloud Phone customers can now add extensions for international employees, purchase toll free and local phone numbers, change caller ID, and access new capabilities, such as voicemail transcription, call screening, web callback, and more.

tw telecom, a provider of Business Ethernet and networking solutions, announced it is expanding its existing network in Kansas City. The expansion will extend the company's reach into North Kansas City, Mo. and Overland Park, Kan.

MapQuest, Inc., has launched an enhanced device-specific navigation app optimized for the Amazon Fire phone available today. The free app provides a customized experience leveraging the Fire phone’s Dynamic Perspective functionality including tilt-activated menus, layer bars and panels.
