Sprint today announced the $15 International Connect: Call & Text add-on. Coupled with the Framily Plan, the add-on allows customers to use voice plan minutes to call 65 international destinations, including Canada and Mexico, at no additional charge per-minute. The $15 add-on also includes unlimited international text from the U.S. to over 180 countries.
Smith Micro Software, Inc. announced a new version of its NetWise intelligent traffic management solution is being offered as an over-the-top (OTT) smartphone application for both Android and iOS devices. NetWise SmartSpot 3.0 acts as a Wi-Fi concierge, providing a way for end users to locate, prioritize and connect to Wi-Fi access points.
SureCall, a maker of cell phone signal boosters, unveiled a device to permit remote monitoring and control of in-building cellphone signal boosters via the Internet. The new SureCall Sentry can provide immediate notification of changes in booster performance, increases in RF interference and other factors that can affect cellular coverage, and it enables remote, real-time adjustment to optimize booster performance.
