Omnilink, a provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) tracking and monitoring solutions, has been named to the Verizon Partner Program as a Silver member. Omnilink FocalPoint Offender Monitoring is an electronic monitoring solution that gives government agencies the ability to track and monitor the location and status of their entire offender caseload across the U.S. on virtually any device.

Owners of the new 2015 Audi A3 can now use their smartphone to enhance their ownership experience with the Audi MMI connect App. The App will synch directly with the available MMI Navigation plus to elevate features both in and outside the car.

Fujitsu today announced that Northwestel, a communications solutions provider in northern Canada, has chosen Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. as its partner to bring broadband connectivity to communities of the Western-Arctic’s Mackenzie Delta area. Northwestel will implement Fujitsu’s long-haul, packet transport, microwave technology as part of a five-year Modernization Plan designed to upgrade telecommunications solutions for northern businesses, residential customers and local governments.

Time Warner Cable (TWC) has launched “TWCWiFi-Passpoint,” a new national WiFi network that offers enhanced security while surfing the Internet on-the-go. The new service uses encryption technology to ensure customers get the same level of protection on TWC’s public WiFi network that they receive with their in-home TWC WiFi connection. Additionally, TWC is launching HotSpot 2.0 technology on most of the access points across its nationwide network.
