Alcatel-Lucent and Elisa, a provider of mobile and fixed broadband services in Finland, today announced a significant network upgrade that will give Elisa the broadband capacity needed to meet the demands of next-generation services and applications.

D-Link today announced a new update to its QRS (Quick Router Setup) Mobile App that makes configuring a home network easier. Customers setting up a QRS Mobile-enabled router, access point or Wi-Fi range extender will be able to do so right from their iPhone, iPad or Android device without the need for a computer.

Getac Inc. is introducing the T800 fully rugged tablet. At less than 9x6 inches in size and boasting an 8.1-inch display, the T800 is a compact rugged tablet for today’s mobile workforce. The new T800 runs Windows 8.1 Professional. T800 can be configured with 4G LTE cellular data with a tunable 8-band antenna.

The Hartford and IBM announced a new six-year technology services agreement to implement a new service model that includes a private cloud infrastructure. The partnership supports The Hartford’s strategy to drive growth and increase operational effectiveness as it continues to focus on its property and casualty, group benefits and mutual funds businesses.
