FirstNews Briefs: Globecomm, Energous, IDI Billing Solutions, Oracle

Globecomm has anonounced that Evolve Broadband has deployed its LTE solutions. Evolve Broadband, a regional carrier providing voice and data products and services throughout 13 counties in Texas, completed successful LTE trials with Globecomm last year and has now finished its initial 35% of coverage area LTE build-out.  Evolve Broadband joins other rural operators in using Globecomm’s hosted LTE core, as well as the company’s unique Converged Packet Gateway (CPG) solution.  

Energous Corporation, a developer of wire-free charging technology, today announced that it has priced its IPO of 4,000,000 shares of common stock at an offering price of $6.00 per share, which will result in gross proceeds of $24 million, prior to deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses payable by the Company.  

IDI Billing Solutions, developer of billing, rating, order management, workflow and selling solutions for the telecommunications industry, announced that Nex-Tech Wireless has extended its contract for IDI's SaaS-based CostGuard OSS/BSS solution.

Oracle announced that Telefónica Digital, Telstra Corporation, and Verizon Enterprise Solutions won Oracle Communications Innovation Awards at the annual Oracle Communications Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meeting.  Oracle recognized the three companies for their leadership and innovation to improve the customer experience, meet customers’ growing demands, and improve network reliability.
