FirstNews Briefs: Ceragon, iSend, Liberty Global, Axiros, Voxer

Ceragon Networks Ltd. today announced that it was selected to design and build a wireless backbone for India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). The new network will be used to connect offshore and onshore sites and will replace existing VSAT infrastructure. Ceragon will provide its Evolution Long Haul solution along with a range of services including: site-survey, system design and engineering, project management and installation. The full turnkey project is valued at several million US dollars.

iSend, a global electronic payment service for people who support family members in other countries, has entered into a direct agreement to provide mobile top-ups to the networks of Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and Digitel Mobile Philippines, Inc. (Digitel) through its mobile brand Sun Cellular (Sun).

Liberty Global, an international cable operator, has selected Axiros, a technology provider of open device management, to remotely provision and manage its customer premise equipment (CPE) across a new B2B Voice over Internet (VoIP) service.

Voxer, a provider of push-to-talk (PTT) and multimedia messaging, today announced extended support for its enterprise-grade platform, Voxer Business, now optimized for Windows Phone 8.
