FirstNews Briefs: AudioCodes, Deutsche Telekom, Physicians Interactive, Broadpeak

AudioCodes today announced that its Multi-Service Business Router (MSBR) products have been selected by Deutsche Telekom for deployment at customer locations of both its hosted Microsoft Lync Unified Communications (UC) services "Deutschland LAN Hosted Lync" and "EnhancedBusinessCommunications" (EBC). Deutsche Telekom will be offering AudioCodes Mediant 500, 800 and 1000 MSBR platforms to customers requiring integration of its hosted Lync service with their existing telecoms equipment and PSTN connections. 

Physicians Interactive Inc. (PI), provider of online and mobile clinical resources and solutions for healthcare professionals, today announced the acquisition of NYC-based Tomorrow Networks LLC, provider of data-driven and location-based mobile advertising solutions for healthcare marketers. Tomorrow Networks provides healthcare marketers with a unique approach and methodology to reach both professional and consumer audiences in the mobile space.   By leveraging the company's proprietary data intelligence platform, brand marketers and agencies can transform big data into an actionable marketing strategy, using regional heat maps to execute mobile advertising campaigns. 

Broadpeak today announced that it has teamed with global satellite provider Eutelsat to improve the delivery of OTT multiscreen services. Utilizing a combination of Broadpeak's nanoCDN and Eutelsat's "smart LNB" technologies, the company says operators can cost-effectively deliver high-quality live TV channels over satellite to millions of subscriber devices, including TVs, PCs, smartphones, and tablets, using the same bandwidth. At CABSAT 2014 in Dubai, March 11-13, stand E1-10, Eutelsat will demonstrate the two technologies, explaining how Broadpeak and Eutelsat are transforming the delivery of DTH satellite services.
