Pervasip Corp., a cloud-based voice and video communications solutions, apps and services provider, has released a global home phone that runs its VoX Communications mobile VoIP app on an Android Wi-Fi only DECT 6.0 handset. VoX offers phone numbers from 57 countries.

Broadcom Corporation today announced that Teracom, a  provider of terrestrial network operations in Sweden and Denmark, has selected Broadcom silicon to demonstrate 4K Ultra HD and DVB-T2 broadcast capabilities with Boxer TV. Broadcom chipsets support the advanced high-efficiency video coding standard (HEVC) to reduce video bandwidth usage by 50 percent.

Cricket Wireless is launching a value multi-line plan – up to five smartphone lines for $100 per month. Customers can enjoy unlimited talk, text, music and one gigabyte of full-speed data for as little as $20 per line.

Aio announced today a sale on devices featuring Samsung Galaxy smartphones starting at $49.99. Until March 13, new customers activating Aio service can get the Samsung Galaxy Amp for $49.99 (normally priced at $129.99); the Samsung Galaxy Express for $199.99 (normally priced at $249.99); or the Samsung Galaxy S4 for 529.99 (normally priced at $579.99).
