First News Briefs: Alcatel-Lucent, V.I.O., Pervasip, Panomark, Small Cell Forum

A Bell Labs study released today by Alcatel-Lucent indicates that data traffic on metropolitan (‘metro’) access and aggregation networks is set to increase by 560 percent by 2017, driven by demand for video and the proliferation of data centers.

Point-of-view video technology developer V.I.O. has launched the all-new Stream mountable and wearable video camera, available for pre-order on the V.I.O. website. With applications for law enforcement, medical, pro-production, military and construction, among other industries, Stream is a flexible and rugged point-of-view video camera that provides RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol).

Pervasip Corp. today announced its partnership with Panomark and its marketing initiatives to sell the VoX mobile VoIP app, which allows subscribers to download telephone numbers from 57 countries and save money on mobile international calling.

The Small Cell Forum today launched Release Two: Enterprise - a technical and business case release to help operators unlock the commercial potential of small cell deployments in the enterprise.
