First News Briefs: Alcatel-Lucent, China Mobile, Adaptrum, StickNFind, Altera, NEC

Alcatel-Lucent and China Mobile have today announced that Alcatel-Lucent's all-IP Evolved Packet Core portfolio has been selected to support the nationwide rollout of China Mobile's 4G LTE network.

Adaptrum, Inc., a provider of TV white space technology, today announced that FCC has certified its ACRS 1.0 TV white space solution with the Google TV white space database. Adaptrum's ACRS 1.0 is a radio solution certified with Google's database.

StickNFind, makers of the StickNFind stickers and beacons, announced the launch of its StickNFind Enterprise Beacon, a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacon solution for the needs of in-store marketers and/or outdoor placements, where battery life and accurate temperature sensing reporting are key for enterprise applications.

Altera Corporation today announced that NEC will use Altera’s 28 nm FPGAs to bring new levels of performance to its Long-term Evolution (LTE) base stations and enable wireless service providers to more effectively manage their networks.
