First News Briefs: Alcatel-Lucent, IBM, Deutsche Telekom, Radio Frequency Systems, AT&T

Alcatel-Lucent today announced that it will deploy an IP-based mobile backhaul network to support LTE-Advanced services for SK Telecom, Korea's largest mobile operator. The Internet Protocol/Multiprotocol Label Switching-based (IP/MPLS) mobile backhaul solution, to be deployed in October, will link SK Telecom cell sites.

IBM and Deutsche Telekom today announced a collaboration to provide the IBM MobileFirst platform in the cloud to small and medium sized customers in Europe.

Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), a global provider of wireless and broadcast infrastructure, announced the availability of a new RF X-TREME base station antenna designed for the 700 MHz spectrum.

AT&T today launched the next generation of its Supplier Domain Program – Domain 2.0 – triggering a move to a cloud-based architecture that is expected to reduce the time required to pivot to this target architecture while accelerating time-to-market with technologically advanced products and services.
