Canonical today announces the formation of a Carrier Advisory Group (CAG) that will shape Ubuntu for the mobile industry. Founding members of the CAG are Deutsche Telekom, Everything Everywhere, Korea Telecom, Telecom Italia, LG UPlus, Portugal Telecom, and SK Telecom.

T-Mobile US, Inc. today announced it will be the exclusive U.S. wireless company to carry the Xperia Z from Sony.

Ceragon Networks Ltd., a wireless backhaul specialist, today announced that it has received orders from LLC Tacom which operates under the brand name Beeline in Tajikistan.

CTIA-The Wireless Association announced Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Guttman-McCabe has been promoted to Executive Vice President, and replaces Bobby Franklin, who was selected as the new President and CEO of the National Venture Capital Association. Scott Bergmann, Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, will succeed Guttman-McCabe as Vice President of the department. The promotions will be effective July 15, 2013.
