Cricket Communications, Inc. today announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 will be available at Cricket company-owned stores, dealers and online starting June 7, 2013 for $600 or $54.99 down at purchase plus monthly payments.

Tecore Networks announced today that the US Patent and Trademark Office has granted two patents essential to its Intelligent Network Access Controller (iNAC) and Method technology being currently deployed in correctional facilities in the USA to stop inmates from using cell phones while in prison. The two patents (USPTO 8,437,741 and USPTO 8,254,886) define the key elements, configurations, and methods of a Managed Access operation which includes the architectures, technologies, and methods of control for cell phones and wireless devices across the full scope of wireless technologies today.

Public Mobile and Kyocera Communications Inc. today announced the launch of Kyocera Kona, a flip phone priced at $69.
