Cisco today announced MetroPCS Communications, Inc. has begun a commercial launch of its Cisco Carrier-Grade Internet Protocol Version 6 (CGv6) Solution as a first step in the transition of its mobile Internet network to Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).

CVS/pharmacy today announced that up to one million free smartphones will be offered to eligible customers, allowing easy access to its convenient mobile app. Upon receipt of the phone, consumers will receive a text message prompt to download the CVS Mobile app to provide the convenience of CVS/pharmacy stores and pharmacy services at their fingertips so they can save time and money. A two-year contract or upgrade is required. A total of 12 phones, including the Droid Razr M, are available for customers on Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile.
