Sony’s Xperia ZL Comes to U.S. Without Carrier Support
Sony’s new Xperia ZL smartphone is now available for pre-sale via the company’s web store and will make its way to other online retailers soon.
In a press release, Sony announced the unlocked phone will cost a $719 or $759 for the LTE version, a big price tag but one that won’t come with a carrier contract.
The phone comes sporting a five-inch 1080p full HD screen, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and a 13 megapixel camera. It will be available in black, white or red and has NFC built in.
In its fourth quarter 2012 report, IDC indicated Sony held 4.5 percent of the global smartphone market share.
