Webalo, Inc., announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Bluegrass Cellular, allowing the carrier to offer Webalo’s turnkey, self-service enterprise mobility solution to Bluegrass customers. The agreement is the latest in the 'Team Webalo' Partner Program, Webalo’s successful strategy for building a diverse network of partners, including leading wireless carriers around the world.

Openwave Mobility today announced that Telus has selected Openwave Mobility’s Media Optimizer, a video optimization solution that enables mobile operators to optimize web and video traffic while also managing congestion down to individual subscribers, thereby improving their video QoE. Telus says it will also leverage Web Optimizer, a solution that uses compression, caching and transcoding techniques on websites and images to increase data transfer rates over wireless data networks while decreasing the amount of traffic flowing over the network.

SK Telecom announced that it has entered into a contract with Auto Meister Sdn Bhd, an electronics retailer in Malaysia, to export Smart Beam to the Malaysian market following launches in the European markets. Under the contract, Auto Meister Sdn Bhd will be given the exclusive right to distribute SK Telecom’s Smart Beam in the Malaysian market. 

Qualcomm Incorporated today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a 40 percent increase in the Company's quarterly cash dividend and, effective immediately, a new $5.0 billion stock repurchase program to replace the prior $4.0 billion stock repurchase program, which had $2.5 billion of repurchase authority remaining.

Nuance Communications today announced that it is expanding its Nina intelligent system for customer service to the web, which the company says will enable organizations to engage with their customers anytime, in whatever channel the customer demands. In doing so, Nuance says it is bringing the power of intelligent systems to bear for more customer interactions than ever before in an intelligent, compelling and conversational way. 

Ruckus Wireless, Inc. today announced the launch of its dual-band concurrent ZoneFlex™ 7055 Wi-Fi wall switch. The ZoneFlex 7055 Wi-Fi wall switch gives hotel and resort operators a low-cost, inconspicuous solution that leverages their existing wired infrastructure, while enabling the delivery of high-speed Wi-Fi to support an ever-expanding assortment of IP-based guest services over multiple virtual LANs (VLANs).

ON Semiconductor has introduced a new family of Tunable RF Components (TRFC) that address the design challenges faced by engineers developing the latest generation smartphones. The new devices optimally combine tuning range, RF quality factor (Q) and frequency operation, providing a superior solution to existing fixed approaches.
