Avaya today announced new security enhancements for enterprise collaboration, designed to protect today's increasingly distributed businesses that have remote, home-based and mobile employees around the globe. The new release of Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise (SBCE) provides organizations with a flexible and cost-effective solution to secure Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based applications across networks, enabling workplace collaboration to remain productive and protected from any location.

Vanishing Solutions, Inc. has developed the CellVanish cellular phone and smartphone cases to combat illegal activities including identity theft and theft of personal and business information. It also prevents tracking, tracing, malware attacks, and monitoring. CellVanish looks like a standard leather cellular phone or smartphone case yet it protects the user against these threats.

AVT, Inc., a provider of automated retail environments, customized kiosks and micro-stores, today announced it has completed development and testing of a new wireless cellular air-card system that provides significant features and benefits to system owners and operators for connecting to the internet wirelessly.

OneChip Photonics today announced that it is working with Global Communication Semiconductors (GCS), an ISO-certified pure-play compound semiconductor wafer foundry, whereby GCS is providing a complete range of Indium Phosphide (InP) wafer processing services to OneChip. OneChip uses these InP wafers to produce its Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for the Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and Passive Optical Network (PON) markets.
