With more than 1,500 members across the country, the Institute works in conjunction with the Congressional E9-1-1 Caucus to promote public education on E9-1-1 and emergency communications issues.
Mr. Lorello was elected to the board of directors in 2009 and has contributed vision, leadership, knowledge and awareness for the advancement of 9-1-1 and public safety. Mr. Lorello and the board work together to educate lawmakers, constituents and governmental committees about the importance of citizen-activated emergency response systems. With his experience and dedication to promoting E9-1-1 and public safety, Mr. Lorello will continue to help the E9-1-1 Institute serve as a forum for policy discussion, related to E9-1-1 and emergency communications that will benefit public policy development.

In his current position at TCS, Mr. Lorello is responsible for strategic partnerships, distribution channels, and sales of the company's portfolio of messaging, location and emergency 9-1-1 products and services. Mr. Lorello joined the company in 1995 and used his broad experience in the computer industry and in-depth expertise in telecommunications to lead the creation of TCS' commercial division. Prior to joining TCS, Mr. Lorello worked for AT&T/Bell Laboratories (now Alcatel-Lucent), where he specialized in intelligent networks and providing marketing support for the cellular, PCS, independent and broadband intelligent network industry segments. He holds six patents.
