As Skype proliferates across mobile platforms, the company is bringing in a new CFO to watch over all that new revenue. According to a press release, Skype has hired Adrian Dillon as the new chief financial and administration officer. He replaces Laura Shesgreen, who will remain at Skype as vice president of finance.
Dillon joins Skype from measurement company Agilent, where he served as executive vice president, Finance and Administration, and CFO. He will join Skype in early April and report to Josh Silverman, Skype's CEO.
"As Skype moves deeper into mobile and enterprise environments and its consumer base grows steadily by the day, managing the pace of change in this dynamic industry and overseeing Skype's robust growth across geographies is a challenge that I truly relish," Dillon said in a statement.
Just last month, Skype released a 3G version of its VoIP client, which the company developed with and for Verizon Wireless. And yesterday Skype announced a 3G version of its client that is compatible with all Symbian devices.
