Chalk up another patent infringement lawsuit today, and for once it doesn't involve Apple. According to a report from Bloomberg, Wireless Ink Corp. is leveling patent infringement charges against both Google and Facebook. Wireless Ink claims Google and Facebook have infringed on its technology, which allows people to join social networks on their mobile phones.

The patent in question was apparently issued in October, and Wireless Ink Corp. claims that Facebook Mobile and Google Buzz are infringing upon that patent.

More specifically, Bloomberg reports that Wireless Ink's lawyer, Jeremy Pitcock, says the patent is related to ways of offering content that is accessible by mobile devices. Wireless Ink Corp is reportedly seeking cash compensation and a court order to prevent further use of its invention.

Calls to Google and Facebook were not returned before press time.
