ChaCha didn't advertise during the Super Bowl last night, but the company says a poll of its users, primarily teens and young adults, who asked questions during the big game showed that their favorite commercials were for Doritos.
The ones they disliked most were for Go Daddy and the one most talked about, as measured by text traffic, was Denny's, with most of them asking about the nearest location of the restaurant to collect their free meal on Tuesday.
ChaCha says it was a record day for the question-and-answer service, which answered more than 1 million mobile and online questions. Inquiries about the teams involved also skyrocketed, with 60,000 (about 10 times the norm) asked throughout Super Bowl Sunday.
As for methodology, ChaCha says people who asked questions during the Super Bowl telecast were asked to text back after the game with their favorite and least favorite commercials. About 900 responded with their favorites and 650 voted for their least favorite. Denny's generated the most overall conversation as measured by queries.
ChaCha users can text questions to 242-242, while kgb, which ran an ad during the third quarter of the Super Bowl, answers questions for those who text 542-542. kgb also ran two commercials during pre-game coverage, including one featuring actors William and Stephen Baldwin.
Other companies advertising during the big game included Intel, Motorola, Flo TV and Boost Mobile.
