Alltel Wireless is the latest carrier to get the BlackBerry Tour, which is now available for its customers in the 91 markets where it still operates.

The Tour, also available through Verizon Wireless and Sprint, sells through Alltel for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and with a one-year service contract. Customers also need to shell out at least $69.99 a month for a Smart Choice pack.

The smartphone and one-year contract option are available only to customers in the 91 cellular market areas that Verizon is required to divest. Those markets continue to operate as Alltel until sale agreements with AT&T and Atlantic Tele-Network are approved by the Department of Justice and FCC.

The Little Rock, Ark.-based CDMA carrier points out that the Research In Motion (RIM) Tour supports 3G networks abroad.

Separately, Alltel this week launched the Samsung Glint, a flip phone with multimedia functions. It comes with a VGA camera, Web browser and Bluetooth 2.0 profiles.
