Ericsson and Tatara Systems are collaborating on a CDMA femtocell solution that will provide voice and data services over an IMS core network.

The solution combines Ericsson’s IMS core network infrastructure with a SIP-based femtocell and Tatara’s convergence server (TCS) for CDMA 1X RTT.

TCS is a standards-based SIP/IMS interworking application server that works between IMS or VoIP infrastructure and macro mobile networks to deliver IP application services to legacy handsets, regardless of the connected domain or access technology.
