Australian network operator Telstra will soon implement monitoring tools from Tektronix for its wireless broadband network, the companies announced.

Telstra has 9.3 million mobile customers and 9.6 million fixed line customers. The carrier already uses Tektronix’s GeoProbe software in its voice networks and now will expand that system for its “Next G” (3G) data network that launched in 2006, officials said.

GeoProbe gives carriers dashboard views and the ability to troubleshoot multiservice networks, Tektronix said.
