U.S. Cellular announced that it has lowered its 2007 operating income outlook range, citing lower-than-expected customer additions and a non-cash loss. The wireless phone service provider now expects operating income of $385 million to $435 million, down from its previous announcement of $410 million to $460 million.

The country's sixth largest carrier said it now expects net retail customer additions to range between 325,000 and 340,000 compared with its earlier estimates of 375,000 to 425,000 new customers for 2007. The company said it expects service revenues from between $3.6 and $3.7 billion.
