Verizon Wireless continues to move full-speed ahead with its V CAST wireless broadband multimedia offering. The latest: The carrier has added new 3D games to its lineup.
The 3D game additions include Jamdat Mobile's "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater: 3D Mobile Edition," Digital Chocolate's "3D Beach Mini Golf" and Gameloft's "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm," a tactical 3D action game.
Verizon is offering the Tony Hawk title for $2.49 a month, or unlimited use for $8.99. The 3D Beach Mini Golf game also can be had for $2.49 a month, or $8.99 for unlimited access. The Tom Clancy selection, however, is priced at $2.99 monthly access or $9.99 for unlimited use.
Verizon has been moving swiftly to secure content deals for its services. Its other content partners include, but are not limited to, NBC Universal, Disney Internet Group, E! Entertainment Television, Warner Music and ESPN.
When Verizon Wireless announced its V CAST launch plans, it said the service would initially be available in 30 U.S. cities. The carrier also has introduced V CAST-enabled phones from Samsung, LG Mobile Phones and UTStarcom Personal Communications.
The add-on V CAST service is being offered to customers for an additional $15 a month.
