Two security firms are hooking up in hopes of offering enterprises a more integrated wireless/wireline solution.

Network Chemistry formed a technology partner alliance with SonicWall to introduce its RFprotect family of automated wireless threat protection products to SonicWall's worldwide network of channel partners.

To jump-start the initiative, SonicWall's field support organization is using Network Chemistry's RFprotect to design, audit and support secure wireless networks for its customers. Network Chemistry says its RFprotect solutions add key technology to SonicWall's wireless solution set.

"Security is no longer an IT issue," says Brian de Haaff, vice president of product management and marketing at Network Chemistry. "It's a business issue, and it's a business issue both for data privacy and for compliance and regulatory issues."

Security ultimately is about mitigating risks for the business, and it's an enterprise-wide challenge, he adds.
