Clear Channel Television has struck a deal with Weathernews to have the radio and cable TV giant join the WNI Network.

The deal will allow mobile users to access Clear Channel's menu of cable TV offerings. Clear Channel content will be available on demand from WNI's LiveLocal, a mobile service available through most major carriers for about $5 per month.

"Our viewers have come to trust and rely on Clear Channel's network of 40 television stations as reliable sources of local news and information in the markets we cover," William Moll, Clear Channel's president and CEO, said in a statement. "By joining the WNI Network and delivering our local TV content on demand to viewers' cell phones, we are enabling our audiences to get unique local, personal content whenever and wherever they are."

Clear Channel's content is scheduled to be available in early 2006.
