Florida's Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has deployed a Wi-Fi network in one of Florida's largest jail facilities, with a little help from Wavelink, that is.

Wavelink's Mobile Manager and Avalanche are being used to provide a centralized management system and access to handheld devices and applications to ensure immediate access to inmate records and photos, record inmate location and support wireless voice over IP communications among deputies.

The Wavelink systems also are designed to enable the jail's network administrators to centrally manage configuration and security profiles, apply software updates and monitor and respond to network performance issues without the need to physically access the network infrastructure or wireless device.
