Canada Wants Mobile TV, Eh
By Susan Rush
WirelessWeek - April 15, 2005

In the coming months, Rogers Wireless and Bell Canada plan to power up mobile television for their subscribers, thanks to separate deals with MobiTV.

Rogers Wireless' Rogers Mobile Television service will feature exclusive real-time Toronto Blue Jays highlights, as well as live television. The carrier is currently in talks with MSNBC, CP24, NBC On-Line, Discovery, TLC, The Weather Channel, Meteo Media, NBC Mobile and Major League Baseball.

Bell Canada has yet to release details of its planned service with MobiTV.

Sprint was the first North American carrier to launch a MobiTV service, which has since caught on with other wireless carriers.
