Less than 3 months after Verizon Wireless launched its Open Development site, the specs have been downloaded more than 500 times, according to a company spokeman.

The Tier 1 operator also has improved its Open Development Website, by adding a link to its certification page (password protected) so organizations/individuals/companies initiating certification - and then going through certification - have transparency to the process right from their PCs.

Verizon reportedly is considering dates for a follow-up teleconference later this month with updates from the speakers from the first Open Development Device Conference.
