Travelocity Launches Mobile Site
By Teresa von Fuchs
WirelessWeek - November 15, 2007

Travelocity has launched a new mobile service that allows travelers to conveniently access travel information from anywhere using a Web-enabled mobile device. It can be accessed at mobile.travelocity.com.

With the new mobile service, travelers can view their current itineraries, book ground transportation and hotels and receive up-to-the-minute information about flight status and security checkpoint wait times. Travelocity is also offering a currency converter, city guides and local weather updates.

"Whether it's changing a flight or adding a rental car to their booking, mobile.travelocity.com gives travelers options for managing their trip while they're on-the-go," Jeffrey Glueck, chief marketing officer for Travelocity, said in a statement.

The mobile service is powered by New York-based Usablenet.
