Confirmed: T-Mobile Going After VZW's A Block Spectrum

Verizon CFO Fran Shammo has confirmed to Reuters that the carrier will consider selling its lower 700 MHz A Block spectrum to T-Mobile USA. Shammo's comments come after Reuters on Tuesday reported that T-Mobile had approached Verizon about acquiring the airwaves.

Sprint: Lifeline Mobile Broadband Pilot Sees Weak Adoption

While 70 percent of Assurance Wireless Lifeline subscribers report having no access to Internet, Sprint said that any kind of upfront cost, which ranged from $30 to $70 depending on the offer, was a "significant barrier" to adoption.
