Partner Communications Co. said Tuesday its CEO David Avner will resign effective Oct. 1.

No reason was given for Avner's departure from the telecommunications company.

The company, based in Israel, said deputy CEO Eli Glickman will replace Avner.

Partner's board plans to appoint Avner to a role overseeing its strategy, including potential acquisitions and new business initiatives.
