Our book about the impact of ubiquitous connectivity, ANYWHERE, is getting around.
Last week I joined Mike Volpe and Karen Rubin of inbound marketing firm HubSpot on their regular weekly video podcast, HubSpot TV, to talk about how the Anywhere Network will change the game for marketers. A in-studio audience present for the event provided some instant feedback — but once again, I was surprised at how few people have yet begun to consider the potential of the expansion of the digital paths to the Anywhere Consumer with the advent of more connected devices like the Chumby.
ANYWHERE will also make an appearance next month in Miami, thanks to Dale Calder, CEO of Axeda, an intelligent asset management software firm. Dale and VP of Marketing Brian Anderson came by YG HQ last week and observed that ANYWHERE provides a framework they can use to explain to enterprises what connectivity can help them to do manage corporate assets more effectively. I’m going to keynote their annual user event on April 13th.
[By the way, as an avid reader and promoter to colleagues of good business books, I learned something from Dale. He pays Axeda employees to read books that will help the business; he invites anyone who's read something he recommended to them to send him an assessment of the book, and gives them a $50 gift certificate when they do. That's practicing what you preach! But note to YG employees: I'm not paying you to read our own book!]
In the same month that McGraw-Hill let us know that ANYWHERE will be translated into Chinese this year, someone let me know that Amazon is out of stock! Something’s working… but if you haven’t gotten your own copy yet, Barnes & Noble and Borders have it in stock at the moment.
