Industry analyst firm Gartner Inc. has positioned Verizon
Business in the Leaders Quadrant in a new report, "Magic Quadrant
for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services,
Worldwide."¹ Separately, Gartner named Verizon a
visionary in another new report, "Unified Communications as a
Service, North America Magic Quadrant." ²
"We believe these two placements by Gartner underscore our track
record delivering integrated communications solutions and helping
companies to navigate the best technology-adoption course," said
Kerry Bailey, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for
Verizon Business. "Communications outsourcing and unified
communications are key elements of the technology solutions we
offer our global customers as we move to an
everything-as-a-service, total cloud-based model driven by our
leading managed and professional services."
To be positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in the Communications
Outsourcing and Professional Services, Worldwide Magic Quadrant,
companies must demonstrate the ability to execute and a
completeness of vision for communications outsourcing and
professional services.
In the Unified Communications as a Service, North America Magic
Quadrant, Gartner defines unified communications as a service as "a
cloud-based delivery of integrated communications capabilities
spanning voice, messaging, conferencing and presence." Companies
are evaluated for their completeness of vision "based on their
ability to convincingly articulate logical statements about the
current and future market directions, innovations, customer needs
and competitive forces and how well these map to Gartner's overall
understanding of the marketplace."
