Digicel has chosen Alepo Technologies as its partner for its roll out of WiMax commercial services in Jamaica. Alepo contribues its 16e AAA server, policy server, service enabler software and DHCP server. It provides a bundled OSS/BSS solution with the capability of supporting tens of thousands of WiMax users in Jamaica.

Digicel’s WiMax network is set to launch in the second quarter of 2010. It was announced yesterday that Trinidad and Tobago’s government handed out WiMax licenses too.
