Research In Motion (RIM) today unveiled two new BlackBerry 7 smartphones, the Bold 9790 and the Curve 9380.

The Bold 9790 features the traditional BlackBerry form factor, with a touch display, tactile keyboard and a precise optical trackpad. The phone comes running BlackBerry 7 OS and features a 1 GHz processor and 8GB of onboard memory, expandable to 32 GB.

The Curve 9380 is the first all-touch smartphone in the BlackBerry Curve family. It features a 3.2-inch high resolution display and comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) and Facebook. The Curve also features a 5-megapixel camera with flash and video recording.

RIM says the new phones will begin to be available from various carriers around the world over the coming weeks. Availability dates for specific devices from specific carriers will be announced in conjunction with RIM's partners.
