Google announced new features to its NFC-enabled Google Wallet product, adding featured offers, coupons, as well as a new partner in Jamba Juice.

The Offers tab in Google Wallet has been updated to include a new "Featured Offers" section with discounts that are exclusive to Google Wallet. Today, these include 15 percent off at American Eagle Outfitters, 10 percent off at The Container Store, 15 percent off at Macy's and an all-fruit smoothie for $2 at Jamba Juice.

The discounts are automatically applied to the customer's bill when they check out by tapping their phone at the point of sale (POS).

Google says it has also made organizing loyalty cards easier. Foot Locker, Guess, OfficeMax and American Eagle Outfitters are providing loyalty cards for Google Wallet so customers can earn reward points automatically as they shop.

In a post on Google's official blog, the company said it had taken into account user feedback to improve transaction details for the Google Prepaid Card with real-time transaction information. Transaction information will now include merchant name, location, dollar value and time of each transaction.

Google Wallet is currently available to Sprint customers using the Nexus S 4G, and the company has partnered with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Citi and American Express for payments.
